Lady Mitz Foundation will also Provide virtual forums where these Young women will be Inspired, Encouraged, and empowered to connect, mingle, interact and collaborate with other peers globally from other nations and cultures via virtual conferences.

In addition to our signature programs, the Lady Mitz Foundation offers two funding programs: Elevate Scholarships and “All In” Business Assistance. These programs were inspired by the trending financial gaps that many village youths are facing today.

Because of the efforts of our Team Of Heroes, we are changing the lives of the future of Nigeria’s disadvantaged female youths.

ChiChi’s Success Story

My name is Chichi, and I am an LMF scholarship student in college. I want to give special thanks to Lady Mitz Foundation for all the good they have done in my life, and in the lives of so many youths in Nigeria. LMF has forever changed my life by giving me the quality education I need to become somebody in life, and a good influence on society. My Dad died when I was little, but my mom raised me until she became sick and died in 2014. I was in High School. I was sad, lonely and miserable, I moved to a remote village to live with my grandmother who was very elderly and sickly. It was a devastating time in my life. My mom had a friend who stop by from time to time to bring food and supplies to my Grandmother. Luckily for me, she came one day and brought me back with her to meet her younger sister who happens to be the founder of Lady Mitz Foundation. I quickly offered to be Nanny for her triplets while she was in Nigeria. She offered me the job under the condition that I go back to school and finish my high school education. When Mercy moved back to the United States in 2016, she tried to take me with her, but after the American Embassy refused me a visa, she asked me to stay back, study for JAMP and get admission into University. LMF gave me 100% scholarship. They have been the ones taking care of me, since my mother died in 2014. Now I will be graduating in 2022 with a degree in Accounting. I would love to work for LMF after graduation, if given the privilege because I would love to help those people in my country that are still suffering. Thank you so much LMF for changing my life for good. I promise I’m going to make you all proud.

College Scholarships:

LMF provides recent high school graduates attending university, scholarships to provide additional support to help with school fees, purchasing books/resources and travel costs.  Our Elevate Scholarships are presently available to any youth graduating from high school located in the village of Umunoha, who has been accepted to a university approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Mmesomma’s College Success Story

Mmeso.png

Mmesomma, born into a family of seven, had fantasized about owning a beauty salon in Nigeria since she was a little girl. Her dream started to take shape when she met Mercy the founder of Lady Mitz Foundation. Mmeso used LMF advice, guidance,

moral and financial support to fulfill those dreams. Mmeso started her hair salon under an umbrella on a street corner in Owerri, Nigeria which eventually blossomed into her own indoor established business.

2016 was a year full of blessing for Mmeso, following advice from Lady Mitz, she applied to the university and got admission to study business management with a LMF partial scholarship. While still working on her hair salon, Mmeso began attending school with the new hope of opening her own Beauty spa.

Today we are proud to announce that Mmesomma Stanley completed her course study in December 2019. Not only is she a hair salon owner, a college graduate, a business woman and entrepreneur, she is also affecting change by training other young ladies on how to believe in themselves, and develop these skills. She attributes her success to the Lady Mitz Foundation who guided her and helped her to “make a positive change via their candid support”. Mmeso still works with LMF for all outreach programs to empower youth and visit and assist the elderly in the village, paying it forward thanks to our team of heros who made this success story possible.

 Ubuntu mini farming

LMF Youth Mini-Farming Wellness and Development Project. As a result of COVID-19, quarantine and other urgent food shortages, the Lady Mitz Foundation has initiated a mini-farming project to teach local youth how to farm so they can feed themselves, eat healthy, learn social skills, and boost their morals and self-esteem. This helps to preserve, protect, and empower Nigerian youth to care for themselves and their communities.

Ubuntu is a South African word that means “I am because your are”. The term means there is a bond that unifies all of humanity that compels them to share with one another. We want to create power among the youth by sharing knowledge that help to sustain their lives.

 COVID-19 RELIEF Program

Medical Staff in Nigeria don’t have appropriate medical gear to protect them from COVID-19 or to help those who are ill. As a result, people in Nigeria are at a significantly higher risk of contracting the virus than those in developed nations.

Our Lady Mitz Team of Heroes raised funds to send COVID-19 medical support packages which are now saving lives of medical staff and patients in Nigeria.

Business startup assistance:

The Lady Mitz Foundation provides financial assistance to any interested youth with qualifications in a trade or has demonstrated talent that can sustain their livelihood. Our “All In” Business Assistance program empowers youth with the necessary funding to purchase equipment, rent space, advertise, or any expense that may be required to start an independent business. Each package is uniquely designed to ensure the future success of each applicant.
